Cross Culture International Dance Ensemble

The Cross Culture International Dance Ensemble is named after the Holy Cross to remind us that the cross of Christ is always our overarching culture, and all other earthly cultures come second. Our mission is to bring joy and multicultural appreciation to the world through the perpetuation of folk arts, which we often find communicate the timeless values that we share. Our hope is that through dance, music, song, costuming, and other aspects of folk tradition, we can better appreciate and understand our own history and also feel a connection across diverse communities.

The group started in 2016 with six children from the St. Theophan Classical Schole who were looking for physical education experience. It has grown to over 30 members divided in two classes by age. If you know dances and/or songs from an ethnic culture you would like to share, please let us know!
